Broken vehicle

For hub based couriers

Before your shift at a hub:
Check all aspects of your vehicle are working correctly. Brakes, lights, tyres, seat, bell/horn, etc. If you find a fault please flag this to a courier coordinator at a hub who will make a note of this and pass it to the mechanic to be fixed before another courier can use the vehicle. Please select another vehicle to take on the road with you.

If your vehicle breaks whilst on the road and you cannot complete your shift:
Please follow the advice found in the accident section first. We advise not risking your safety on a damaged vehicle if it is impaired and instead walk the vehicle back if possible. Here we will replace your vehicle so you can continue your shift.

For remote couriers

If your vehicle is damaged:
Please let the courier coordinator know as soon as you cannot complete your shfit. At Just Eat Takeaway we want all our couriers to be safe on the road. This is our number one priority so we cannot let you back on the road unless your vehicle is fixed and working fine. Take the necessary steps to fixing your own vehicle and let the courier coordinators know which shifts you cannot complete over the next week due to this problem so they can arrange cover if required.
